The Steve Patterson Projecttt came together during the lockdown of the 2020 world-wide pandemic (which we look very forward to being a distant memory). Originally slated to be a monthly live music and panel-style talk show at the beautifully renovated Paradise On Bloor Theatre in Toronto, those plans came to a screeching halt when we weren’t allowed to go anywhere or do anything. But this is a team of people who aren’t good at doing nothing, so they did something.

With very few resources (very, VERY few) and a lot of ‘figuring it out as we went,’ we built a weekly show that blended topical news jokes, musical performances and panel discussions with notable Canadians that provided more laughter with the knowledge than any other show in the country is currently doing. The team quickly figured out how to incorporate a live ‘virtual audience’ for the monologue (something network shows in the U.S. couldn’t quite figure out), many of whom came back week after week because they enjoyed being part of the Projecttt so much. Guests like Dr. David Suzuki, Colin Mochrie and Amber Mac were eager to chat with brilliant musicians like Dan Mangan, Sarah Slean and Good Lovelies. The goal is always to sit people together (well virtually together anyway) that might not otherwise get a chance to meet and see where the conversation could lead.

Now that the world is *somewhat* opening up, The Projecttt is also opening up and is excited to find new opportunities in live venues and, major broadcast platforms.
